Wolfe Lake

Wolf Lake [sometimes spelled Wolfe] was created in the summer of 1898 when the College erected a dam on the Conococheague at the southern end of the campus.  The Lake was about half a mile in diameter and by 1899 students were ice skating on it.

The removal of the Wolf Lake Dam occured in 2006 as part of an effor to restore the natural flow of the Conococheague Creek, improve the fish habitat and recreate wetlands.
