The John Stewart Memorial Library was constructed in 1923-1924 with a generous donation from Wilson trustee George H. Stewart.  He chose to name the building after his brother who was a justice on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.  The original structure was designed by Philadelphia architectual firm Furness, Evans & Company in the collegiate gothic style.  The addition was completed in 1962.
